What do you think about the rigging of elections since 1986 when the mail-in ballot was voted in? Check it out. Are you aware of the following?

Oregon became a state in 1859. From 1859 to 1986 Oregon had 13

Democrat Governors, 20 Republican Governors and 1 Independent. That's 38%

Democrats, 59% Republicans and 3%Independent. Since 1987, with the change to

only mail-in ballots, we have had 100% Democrat Governors (6). Also

interesting, prior to 1987, we never had 6 Democrat governors in a row but we did have 6 Republican governors in a row. Makes you go ummmm... What are the odds of this happening?

Trump knew that there was no chance of winning in Oregon’s rigged election system, so he didn’t even bother to spend the money to put a statement into the voter’s pamphlet. https://oregon.gop/2024/10/statement-on-the-oregon-voters-guide/

This is why my family left Oregon. We didn’t want to raise our children in a state where the government actively wants to teach my children to hate their parents’ values.

Portland has shown that you can stand on the edge of a cliff, over a valley of demons waiting to devour you, and vote for people who will see to it that you will have no choice but to fall. As if stands, Portland’s new 12 person City Council has every chance to destroy any vestige of hope that the city will ever recover, and even worse, that it will only fall deeper into the abyss of one party Democratic control. Hello Detroit, Newark, Baltimore, and Washington DC, we are coming to join you in making life impossible for the least among us!

I wouldn't call Oregon a bastion of Blue, the votes show slim wins for the Democrats with the exception of the Portland area. If Oregon really has the desire to move forward the Oregon Legislature needs to pay attention to those areas not in the Willamette Valley and address their concerns, until that happens Oregon will remain divided.

Thank you for highlighting the abysmal process of gerrymandering here in Oregon! It's refreshing to see someone talk about the underlying problem of voter suppression that is partisan gerrymandering.

Yes, the way the current mail in voting system is implemented sets the system up for interference, but even IF Oregon rid itself of mail in voting, the ouckme would largely be the same because the underlying problem are the gerrymamdered districts!

Well, it's BS. People understand how to navigate online, we are not stupid and we are not children. That has nothing to do with why they deleted it, they just don't want us thinking or talking about how biased our political landscape really is.

I'm not sure about "people aren't stupid". Right now we have someone in our group that won't even come to our gatherings since Trump won. I'm sure he's one person that would not fully understand this article. 😁

He’s not stupid, he’s angry so he took his toys and went home. Good riddance! These people, the so-called “woke,” who have been using “the system” to maintain power, are ferocious little ankle biters when it comes to losing face.

There are more people living in the urban centers because there are more jobs, more culture, more education, more things that interest people in general. I grew up on the Oregon coast and now live in Eugene, I know how far apart the cultural divide is.

But, to think the urban centers are some how making policy that only benefits them and disenfranchises all rural areas is false. Clean water effects us all. Progressive environmental policies are good for the city and the farm. And I too have a 15% of my property that I can't build on due to water resource restrictions.

No one even the rural people want to have rivers with runoff from unregulated farms or from unregulated industry.

We all have to live with regulation so we can all have the benefits of a greener, cleaner, Oregon.

Generally agree but look at Portland. It’s one of the most “progressive” cities in the nation and it’s an environmental disaster. Garbage everywhere, feces on the streets, natural areas destroyed by unsanctioned camping, waters fouled by derelict homeless vessels. It’s become a lawless city where laws and regulations are only for taxpayers and the 10,000 homeless can do whatever they want.

Oregon’s 5th Congressional District is evidence of the gerrymandering.

Living in "somewhat" rural Oregon I can testify to that sentiment. I see Cory Dolan posted this to FB and it was removed. As I've heard "they don't remove conservative's voices....unless it's telling the truth." 😪
