In 2021 and eleven years of Obamacare 11.3 Million people were enrolled which was less than 4% of the population and not enough to support the people who were receiving benefits. In 2022, they used the pandemic, which was mostly over, to justify raising premium subsidies. The increases were hidden in the so-called Inflation Reduction Act. By 2025, 24 Million were enrolled in Obamacare. Fourteen states including OREGON provide subsidized healthcare for illegal aliens. There is fraud within the system because 40% of policy holders have zero claims. Even The Washington Post admitted that Obamacare is a money pit. https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2025/10/08/guess-who-just-admitted-obamacares-a-money-pit-n4944611

This is the only western country where a person or family can be bankrupted by their health care expenses, even with most insurance. We need to look to the single payer, government managed systems in Scandinavia, the Netherlands and most countries in Western Europe. Big Pharma and Big Medicine are pushing costs ever upward. I'm 82 and on Medicare, and I always thought/hoped that by the time I reached this age, national health insurance would be a guarantee for all. But health care here is still a capitalistic, for profit enterprise, so the cards are stacked against us.
